What Can I Expect During a Women’s Wellness Exam?

If you are currently sexually active with more than one partner, Dr. Bruner-Hill will also likely recommend a standard STI test just to ensure you are in good health and have nothing to worry about. During your women’s wellness exam, Dr. Bruner-Hill will respectfully check in with you periodically to make sure you are comfortable.

What if I Have Abnormal Pap Smear Results?

If you end up having an abnormal Pap test result, do not panic. Abnormal results happen often for younger women and may be no cause for concern. Dr. Bruner-Hill will recommend you to a high-quality, local gynecologist from whom you can receive further testing to rule out any forms of cervical cancer.

What if I Have an Abnormal Breast Exam?

If you have an abnormal breast exam, your next step may be a mammogram, X-ray, and/or biopsy. Dr. Bruner-Hill will stay by your side through every step of your health care journey and ensure you are comfortable and confident in your care. If need be, she will be happy to refer you to a specialist in the area who can provide you with further assistance.

How Often Should I Receive a Women’s Wellness Exam?

Accepted Answer

It is recommended women who are sexually active or over the age of 21 receive regular women’s wellness exams once around the same time every year. This is because conditions and concerns affecting a woman’s anatomy do not always have physical symptoms. Regular monitoring with Dr. Bruner-Hill will provide you with the peace of mind you need to live your life to the fullest.
